Growing Pain

No one doubts, and probably most envy, the success of China’s economy, however some may believe that China isn’t playing fair – the currency is artificially low, labor standards sub par, intellectuality property rights unobserved and human rights abused. It may be rebutted that China is a developing country subject to different standards or that the developed world strayed from its high ground during its developing phase and, for that matter, still does. Moral relativism? Perhaps, however it seems more relevant to parse the issues and look for negative trends that may adversely affect China, the world and, more importantly, the planet.
